I sowed Sunflowers (6)
Alyssum (5)
Cosmo's Cosmic Orange (dwarf) (8) Candy Cane Zinnias (10) And a hanging basket of Petunias...my first time sowing these.

Pink and Blue

I winter sowed some Bachelor Buttons. I'm am trying them in my deck planter this year. When these are finished for the season, I'll plant some other "sun loving" plants. The BB are in these containers.

I also planted some pink Peony Poppies in a white "old fridge" container that I melted holes in.

A member from our garden club came over so I could show her how to winter sow. We sowed some Poppies and then I sent her on her way with some Poppy seeds, Shasta Daisy seeds, and some Love in a mist. Another winter sower is born!

Our snow has melted

This is one of my favorite plants! It's common name is Red Hot Poker and it's a perennial. I sowed 8 pots today. They are in the square med pots.
I also sowed some Columbine. This is a picture of Columbines that I sowed 3 years ago. I sowed Blue Star today, and I hope they don't take 3 years to bloom! I put them in the milk jug and the coffee tub.
I poked a hole in the top of the coffee lid and used the scissors to cut a large circle out. I placed plastic wrap on the top, which is secured by the lid, and then I poked some holes in the plastic wrap.

Organized my seeds.

My Cairn Terrier decided that my seeds (which were in a shoe box) would be a tasty treat. She managed to rip up several bags (hope they were good!) and mixed all my seeds together. I bought a new container today and put all my seeds in order. I'm hoping to get my seed list together and label all my containers.

Well, I never made it even to the garage to drag the soil inside...and it snowed last night! I think I'll spend some time going through my seeds and make a list of what I want to sow. I sent my sister some seeds yesterday....does this count? This is my Hibiscus I winter sowed last year....I didn't plant it in the ground this past fall....so have to start all over this year. Bummer
